What is the part of the social game these dynamics? These questions are fundamental when it comes to coordinate research activities or to choose heuristics for one\u2019s own research. They can be however addressed only in the framework of an epistemology, i.e. hypothesis on the nature of knowledge. The Nobel game shows that Popper\u2019s epistemology is well suited for this kind of insight and makes it possible to propose an operational framework for modelling the activity of a scientific community. An analysis of the properties of this framework with tools from mathematics and multi-agents modelling.
