SUMMARY:BLUEMED Mediterranean Research Infrastructures Stakeholders Conference
DESCRIPTION:The BLUEMED Initiative has been launched in 2014 by nine European countries with the support of Horizon 2020 programme. The main objectives of the project are to define priorities for marine research and innovation in various domains (tourism\, aquaculture\, fishery\, marine energies\, biotechnologies\, maritime transports…) and to design an implementation plan paying attention to involve of a wide range of stakeholders at international\, national and regional levels. Special consideration is given to research infrastructures as they are essential to support the development of research and innovation activities. \nIn this framework\, the CNRS is organizing the BLUEMED Mediterranean Research Infrastructures Stakeholders Conference to bring together RIs experts\, representatives from Mediterranean public authorities and key stakeholders involved in Blue Growth activities. This two-day fruitful event will pave the way towards the implementation of BLUEMED Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda key priorities\, while at the same time\, it will contribute to further connect the different stakeholders involved in Blue Growth activities.  \nParticipants will have the opportunity to focus on key challenges faced in the Mediterranean Sea. Solving these challenges requires development and synergies of research and innovation infrastructures\, as they generate valuable data and services that need to be accessible for all communities involved in Blue Growth activities. The conference will therefore enable participants to exchange their views and propose concrete actions to ensure an optimal use of RIs and to favor the dialogue and concrete collaboration among Mediterranean blue economy stakeholders.
