The aim of the COBCOD project is to understand how cognitive biases bias (confirmation, negativity and in-group bias) are amplified and potentially altered through repeated online interactions. Specifically, we seek to identify the mechanisms driving the emergence of patterns unique to online environments (polarization, herding effect, information bubbles…) and explore how the collective dynamics, in turn, influence individuals. Additionally, COBCOD studies strategies for mitigating these effects and test them through models and experiments
