Open Dataset : Evolution of Reporting P-Values in the Biomedical Literature, 1990-2015
A review of p-values in the biomedical literature from 1990 to 2015 by researchers from ISC-PIF and Standford University shows that these widely misunderstood statistics are being used increasingly, instead of better metrics of effect size or uncertainty.
To complement the JAMA paper, I relased the full set of extracted P-values in Pubmed and PMC full text. This dataset contains 4,572,043 P-values extracted in 1,608,736 Pubmed abstracts and 3,438,299 P-values extracted in 385,393 PMC full-text articles in the period 1990-2015.
