ISC-PIF is a CNRS unit dedicated to the development of inter-institutional research on complex systems through a range of services. ISC-PIF offers a “turnkey” working environment – workstation, technical and scientific resources, skills, governance – and thus participates in the emergence of collaborations, the pooling of resources and scientific synergies, and the implementation of innovative projects.
The partnership agreement signed between CNRS and each of ISC-PIF’s partners embodies the collaborative nature of the process. The governance of the UPS is composed of a Council of Partners – representing all the partner organisations – and a Steering Committee (12-18 members) which assists the Director in implementing the Institute’s orientations.
The financial contribution of ISC-PIF’s partners under this agreement forms the basis for ISC-PIF’s sustainability and enables it to offer a wide range of free services to researchers affiliated to these organisations.
ISC-PIF, like every unit of the CNRS, has a statutory body created by the CNRS: the Comité d’orientation et de suivi (COS).
