From Science Archives to Imaginations—The images of Science Reinvent Themselves

The ISC-PIF is launching a call for films created using scientific archival footage.

Films may be created entirely from scientific archival footage or may incorporate it partially. They may also combine non-scientific archival footage, modern digital images, or animation.

The use of scientific archives is unrestricted, both in form and content.

With the goal of revitalizing and breathing new life into scientific archives, films may creatively utilize these archives to explain and popularize science and/or create new narratives. They may freely explore the connections between science, living beings, and the human imagination, with complete creative freedom.

Proposals that align with the theme of the 2026 Fête de la Science,  “Saveurs Savantes”  will be particularly appreciated.

The organizing committee will select the films to be screened during the event.

Call for entries opens: June 22, 2026

Deadline: August 27, 2026

Announcement of selected films: September
