This year, we are delighted to present the exhibition I Can’t Remember by digital artists, made possible through our partnership with Artpoint, a digital art distribution agency.

I Can’t Remember explores the theme of archives through the two central strands of Unarchive Complexity: audiovisual archives, fragments of our memories and stories, and the living, fragile archives of our planet that make up biodiversity.

The first strand is explored through the work of artist Marine Blehaut, whose practice draws inspiration from anonymous photographic archives and experimental cinema. For the artist, archives — fragments of our memories and stories — become an essential raw material for creating new, fragmented narratives and exploring the fragile and darker sides of human experience and memory. Fascinated by AI, she works with intimate memory and anonymous photographs generated by artificial intelligence.

The second strand is explored through the work of Studio Ferralasco, whose works investigate the dynamics and evolution of living systems, and that of Sares, an artist whose practice reflects on the intimate movement of resistance — a final act of defence, driven by the need to believe, resist and carry on.
