Reunion final du projet WEAB
The aim of the WEAB project was to study the resistance of wheat cultivars to protein effectors from fugal pathogens Parastagonospora nodorum (Pn), Pyrenophora tritici-repens (Ptr), Fusarium graminearum (Fg) and Zymoseptoria tritici (Zt), using multidisciplinary approaches. Genomics analysis of fungal genomes are combined with protein biochemistry, as well as biology of infection in ntarula infection, and quantitative genetics analysis of the plant response to fungal pathogens and protein effectors. This combination of methods give an overview of the natural resistance of wheat to these fungal diseases involving insensitivity to fungal protein effectors.
