Dans le cadre du programme de formation du projet H2020 PRACE, la Maison de la Simulation et ses partenaires (Cines, Idris, TGCC, Inria) proposent des formation au calcul intensif. Ces formations font partie d’un plus large ensemble de cours proposés par les Prace Training Centers en Europe

Description :
The increase in computational power goes hand in hand with an increase in the size of the data to be managed. IO can easily become a bottleneck for large scale architectures.
Solutions to efficiently handle IO, to reduce bandwidth by using in situ or in transit processing, and to decouple IO from different IO libraries are currently emerging.
This course will provide an introduction to parallel IO in general. It will focus on 3 different technologies to optimize IO in high preformance codes: the course will introduce the HDF5 library. It will then present FlowVR for in situ and in transit processing and finally the PDI library for coupling a code with different IO libraries.
